Dr. PraxO - Patient App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dr. PraxO ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Dr. PraxO Patient App.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

  • Account Information: Name, mobile number, date of birth, gender, blood group (if provided), and profile photo.
  • Appointment Information: Selected doctor or clinic, appointment details, token number, booking status, booked-for person details, and appointment history.
  • Health Information: Symptoms, consultation notes, uploaded reports or medical documents, and follow-up or reconsultation information that you choose to provide.
  • Location Information: City, locality, or location shared by you to help find nearby doctors and clinics.
  • Payment Information: Payment status, transaction IDs, and payment references. Card, UPI, or banking credentials are securely handled by our payment partners and are not fully stored by Dr. PraxO.
  • Device Information: Device model, operating system, application version, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token, IP address, and basic application usage logs for security and support purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Book, update, cancel, and manage appointments.
  • Share required appointment information with doctors and clinics.
  • Process payments, refunds, and payment confirmations.
  • Send OTPs, appointment reminders, booking updates, and important service notifications.
  • Improve application performance, security, and customer support.
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Who We Share Your Information With

We may share only the information necessary to provide our services with:

  • Doctors and authorised clinic staff for appointment management and patient care coordination.
  • Payment gateway providers for payment processing and refunds.
  • Trusted service providers such as SMS/OTP providers, cloud hosting services, push notification providers, storage providers, and analytics services.
  • Government authorities or regulatory agencies where disclosure is required by applicable law.

Dr. PraxO does not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Your Choices and Rights

Subject to applicable laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, you may:

  • Access and update your profile information.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data, subject to legal and regulatory retention requirements.
  • Disable non-essential push notifications through your device settings.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and organisational safeguards to protect your information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

However, no internet-based service or electronic storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your mobile device, login credentials, and OTP.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or meet regulatory requirements.

When retention is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymise your information wherever reasonably practicable.

7. Children's Privacy

Parents or legal guardians are responsible for providing and managing information when appointments are booked for minors.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Dr. PraxO Patient App after updates means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.

Significant changes may be communicated through the application before they take effect.
